Top Ten Tuesday: World-Building

This week's Ten:

10 Favorite World Building Books

It's a 'freebie' week with Top Ten Tuesday and so I chose to give you ten novels that I think are either great examples of world building and/or feature worlds I wish were real and able to be visited! (It needs to be said, though, that some of these - the worlds, not he books - are to be avoided if at all possible.)

Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton

\
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Goodreads // review

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Goodreads // review - coming soon!

Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini

The Leveller by Julia Durango

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Black City by Elizabeth Richards

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

I realized as I was getting this together that it's a little weird to include just Cinder but both These Broken Stars and This Shattered World, but it's also right (for the list). Cinder is all a part of the same world, wit he same characters but the Starbound books are, quite literally, different worlds and new characters so it feels like separate 'worlds.'  I absolutely love all of both series.

Please leave a comment and let me know your favorite examples of world building or the book world you most want to visit!
